Pack your kitchen is probably one of the most dreadful tasks to do before relocation. Even though I generally enjoy packing and organizing, I just had no idea when it came to kitchen packing. With guiding my husband all along while packing the rest of the house, somehow, he found me sitting amidst all the storage jars on the kitchen floor, clueless. And just when I was caught in this mess, the doorbell rang and lo behold! It was my mother! Aren\u2019t they a blessing to us? They just know everything. She helped me pack the kitchen in just a matter of hours and we did later enjoy a nice cup of tea. Here are some tips that my mother told me and it could be useful to you guys too.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Get organized<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Just like any other space in the house, getting organized in the kitchen is equally important. Moving is a blessing in disguise to edit down your belongings and lighten your load. Take a moment to separate the items that don\u2019t serve a purpose to you anymore. Pack your kitchen efficiently by pulling out all the unused appliances that have been packed and kept aside for a while now (in my case, some of the appliances gifted for our wedding were the same versions). If you are sure of not using them, then donate them as a charity or give them away to your maidservants or cooks.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Prepare an essentials box<\/strong><\/h2>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

This would be the last box to pack before wrapping up your kitchen. And the first one to open at your new house. It\u2019s a good practice to set aside the essentials while going through your cupboards that you would require the first few days at your new kitchen. Label the box<\/a> as \u201cKitchen Essentials-#1\u201d to identify it from the rest of the boxes. This should help you provide small meals and help you clean up as well.
