About
hyderabad
Often known as the land of pearls and the land of nawabs, this is a stunning city and is voted as the best city to live in. Initially the capital of Andhra Pradesh, it is now the capital of Telangana state since 2014. It is a historic city noted for its many monuments, temples, mosques, food, IT, bazaars, and much more. A multitude of influences has shaped the character of the city around the famous Charminar since the last four centuries.
Now, Hyderabad is famous for two things: One for its aromatic and delicious Dum Biriyani and the other being Charminar. The stalls and shops around this monument are amazing and have been equally recognized as the Charminar. This monument is pretty much shown in every Telugu movie. This area is enchantingly aromatic around Ramadan time and is the best time to taste biriyanis.
Many film shooting crew stop by Hyderabad to shoot in the very famous Ramoji film city. This is a perfect place for movie buffs. This not only has a film shooting studio but an inbuilt hotel and an amusement park as well.
Just like the necklace road in Mumbai, the Hussain Sagar lake is a hot spot for spending time with your partners or families. This lake was built by Hazrat Hussain Shah Wali in the 1560s and its primary source of water supply is from the Musi river. Another marvel of monuments is the Golconda fort. Known for its architecture, this is a tourist attraction among many others such as Chowmahalla Palace, Qutb Shahi tombs, Koti residency, Paigah Tombs, Mecca Masjid, Jagannath Temple, Visa Balaji Temple, KBR National Park, in the city. The evening light show is never to be missed here, in the Golconda Fort.
Hyderabad is a trap for all the foodies out there! Biriyani is not just any dish for the Hyderabadis but it is an emotion. Some of the recommended places for Biriyani would be Biriyaniwala & Co., Café Bahar, Bawarchi, and many more for some lip-smacking Biriyanis and Mandi. Not to forget the shopping trinkets, the general Bazar can offer more than just pearls and gems for all the shopaholics. You can pick up some amazing Hyderabadi potlis, sarees, and the traditional nizam style ethnic wear.
