Bangalore( now known as Bengaluru).
Legend has it that Bengaluru got its name after an old woman served a pot of cooked pulses to a lost and a hungry Hoysala King. Fondly, he called it “Bendakaluru”. In 1537, the lord of the medieval times, Kempegowda built a mud fort here and four watchtowers to demarcate the of the then small town. These are preserved and can still be seen at the heart of the city which has expanded circularly since then. The pillars are at Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Kempambudhi Tank, Ulsoor Lake, and Mekhri Circle.
The famed climate of Bangalore is credited to the establishment of the Military Cantonement, a 13 sq. km city-state close to the old town of the city. With a tropical climate most of the year, Bangalore is blessed with sudden showers just to make your mood the happiest. This serenity must and should be enjoyed with a hot cup of coffee and fritters.
It is a multilingual city. With the majority language being spoken is Kannada, Bangaloreans are well versed in most of the south Indian languages owing to its special culture.
From the late 20th century, Bangalore got the name “Silicon Valley of India” with a high concentration of technology industries and multinational corporations opened up in East Bangalore. The city has one of the oldest cultures still being practiced across the city.
Bangalore is home to several sports stadiums and governing bodies. India’s national cricket academy is located at the M.Chinnaswamy Stadium in the city, which hosts cricket matches at both domestic and international levels. In addition, it also hosts football matches as well.
Bangalore is known as the Pub Capital of India. Yes. It’s got several tags to it. From hosting rock concerts to pubs, Bangalore has a rocking nightlife.
